Music is one of my biggest inspirations. I created this work was when I was still living in Beirut back in 2012.
Beirut is a very colorful city, diverse in taste and things to do, and with a growing jazz and blues scene, I felt inspired to recreate the identity of Beirut Vibes, one of the live blues band which performance I used to enjoy.
I created an illustrative style that expresses the rhythm and melodies in Jazz and Blues. Jazz and Blues are experimental and since this band is based in Beirut, I chose to add a little bit of an edge and flair with colors and forms. Beirut has a lot of street art and culture and so this identity represents a growing scene in an upbeat city. It is quirky just like Beirut and it is customized to be as unique as the music and the musicians.
